Checking in and out

Check-in is from 2pm onwards and you are welcome to leave luggage with us if you arrive at an earlier time.

Check-out is by 10.30am and you are welcome to leave luggage with us if you are travelling at a later time. Late check-out is subject to availability and at an additional cost of £20 per room.

Hotel Parking

• Free parking is available along the Promenade outside the hotel for 16 hours in any 24 hours and there are usually sufficient spaces along the Promenade outside the hotel.
• Please pay attention to and check the local signs carefully, as parking rules may vary if you are parking further away from the hotel.
• At Caledonia does not have onsite or reserved parking. If you would like to park your car in a car park there are several options in Douglas town centre, see further details here.
• If you are planning to drive around the island during your stay, please collect a parking disk from the ferry terminal on arrival, these disks allow up to 2 hours free parking in some places around the island.

Getting here from the airport and sea terminal

• Airport: we are located 20 minutes by taxi or 40 minutes by bus (with direct buses going from the airport to a bus stop a few minutes’ walk from the hotel). Please click here to plan any bus journeys.
• Sea terminal: we are located 5 minutes by car, 10 minutes by bus or 25 minutes by foot. Please click here to plan any bus journeys.

Local transport

• Bus: bus stops are located a few minutes’ walk from the hotel. Please use the following journey planner: www.traveline.info to plan any bus journeys, setting hotel location as: IM2 4NE
• Taxi: there are several taxi firms we can recommend at reception and we can arrange taxi journeys for you during reception opening hours.
• Electric railway station: is a 10 minute walk along the Promenade. See timetable information here.
• Horse tram: is a 10 minute walk along the Promenade. See timetable information here.
• Steam train station: is located in Douglas town centre and is 6 minutes by car, 15 minutes by bus or a 35 minute walk from the hotel. See timetable information here.

Dogs

• We are dog friendly and welcome small and medium sized dogs who are well house trained. There is an additional fee of £20 per dog per week of stay to accommodate the additional cleaning required for dog stays, which is payable on arrival.
• Unfortunately we cannot allow dogs in the dining room during breakfast service in order to be considerate to other guests who may not be comfortable with this.

Bicycle storage

We have space in the basement lounge for guests to store bicycles subject to availability. The basement has direct access to street level. Please let us know in advance if you would like to use these facilities.

On-site dining

We do not currently have an onsite bar or restaurant but are happy to recommend lots of options within a short walk of the hotel. Please enquire at reception and see information in rooms for our recommendations.
